Floppy Fedora

Insight jumper, Ksubi jeans, ZU Boots, Dangerfield hat, A.Wang Bag

When you're running late for class and don't have time to coordinate an outfit, just throw on a jumper and your regular comfort jeans and accessorize to give it some oomph.

Floppy hats are recently becoming popular. I bought mine on sale just yesterday for $25. Here I am wearing my favorite pair of jeans, the only thing in my wardrobe which I've worn to death. It is slowly becoming looser per number of times of use. That, or I've lost weight. Either ways, I may have to purchase the same pair a size smaller. Cos I can't live without it!

Red blazer from Singapore

Adding on to my last post, I easily took my previous outfit from day to night by switching blazers. I changed into a striking red I wouldn't normally wear but found very suitable for nights out. It had been sitting in my wardrobe unused so I am glad I remembered it before heading to dinner.

Slightly out of the blue, but I must say I am very much infatuated with black & white photography. It just adds so much depth to an otherwise plain picture.

P.S. I do regret having to take the picture myself, doesn't really portray things well.

Monday: Blues

Bec & Bridge Blazer, Skinny Nelson Tank Dress, Mink Pink Leggings, ZU Boots, Thrifted necklace, Sportsgirl Ring, Karen Walker Sunnies, Alexander Wang Bag

On days when I'm not sure what to wear, I go monochromatic. To avoid looking too dull, I try to include subtle colours. In this instance, I went for a chalky blue. I kept my hands simple and opted for a neckpiece instead. Blazers are perfect on a cool sunny day. I especially prefer ones that come with shoulder pads. Adds structure to the body and gives your oufit some extra boldness.

Label Love: Ksubi

Ksubi is one of my all-time favorite Australian labels and I just had to dedicate a post to it. Designers Dan Single and George Gorrow seem to know what girls want. I usually find myself craving to try on every single piece. Unfortunately, I can only admire through the screen as it is not popularly stocked in Perth. Reasons being, I assume, the heavy price tag and Perth being a small town. They do have their affordable pieces but they are nowhere near cheap. However, don't take my word for it, as this is coming from a girl born and bred in Brunei where everything is jaw-droppingly cheap.

Aside from being an ultra-rad designer line, Ksubi is also a cult denim label. Spotted on notable celebrities such as Fergie, Hilary Duff, Noami Watts, Hayden Christensen & more (source: Denim Blog), it is definitely one to look-out for. I have already invested in a few pairs of their highly coveted denim. The quality, cut and fit is amazing. I personally think they're worth the splurge as jeans are forever and can take you through the seasons.

Ksubi leather jacket "A Radical Departure From Nothing" collection

I am currently coveting the edgy leather jacket from their latest collection $699. Price is overkill but you are definitely getting the bang for your buck. It has the perfect balance of structure and grunge. The uniquely structured hems and collar is reason enough for me to make my purchase. Now, to find the cash.

If I were to describe Ksubi in one word: effortless-cool.

I cheated, that's two words :P

Rings make an outfit full

self-made scarab ring, Lovisa ring $16

I love rings. My outfits would be incomplete without them. Aside from announcing my love for rings, I am showcasing one of my designs and a new ring I bought yesterday. My ring wasn't intended to look old & rusty but I guess that gives it a vintage appeal and it works. It is a two finger ring which articulates. Egyptian beetle, scarab inspired.

So this is another one of my many attempts to get into blogging. Hopefully I find myself interesting enough to make it last. Because what is the point if I don't want to read my own writing?
