Casually Formal

Jacket from overseas, Top from overseas, American Apparel Disco Pants, Shakuhachi boots

Throw over a loose-fitted jacket and tie the blouse, 2 ways of deconstructing your look.

Finally got around to wearing these boots I purchased from Shakuhachi a while ago. I figured it went well with the outfit. The AA pants was something that arrived only yesterday. It is so fabulous I just had to wear it the next day. Never had pants that fits so perfectly well. Look no further girls, this is the perfect pair.

Bringing colour back

Mink Pink knit, Don't Ask Amanda blouse, mustard pants, Sportsgirl shoes, Leopard fur bag

I felt like going colourful today but didn't want to look like a 180 degrees turn as I have been wearing pretty much black for the past few days. I wore a basic white knit over the green & mustard as an attempt to tone down the brightness which was also an excuse to hide the puff shoulders on my green blouse. At the time when I made my purchase, I was too taken by the colour that the puff did not matter. I prefer my blouses relaxed, boyfriend style.

That aside, I was reminded that I suck badly in word games. Really should start reading books.

Baddies

One Teaspoon cardigan, Ksubi tank dress, Sportsgirl earring, fishnet leggings, Doc Martens

Stefanie and I indulged in a photo taking sesh after class. We had tons of fun. Nuff said.

About the outfit: I love all things chunky, comfortable & unique. Thus, I invest in a lot of knitwear which eventually led me to purchase this One Teaspoon cardi. The main selling point for me was how effortless it looked on the body. Then I came to appreciate the silver pins on it which doesn't submit to the standards of the norm. Now that the weather's getting warmer, I'll have to pass up on them soon. However with warmer weather comes warm weather clothes; cute crops and short shorts! Can't wait!

Hello Retro Sunnies!

Miss Unkon knit, Milk & Honey shorts, Karen Walker sunnies

Fluffy Pink Knit. Can someone say cute overload??? No way was I walking out of the house before toning it down. So I whipped out my darkest shade of lipstick & paired it with the toughest looking shorts; distressed studded with leopard printed pockets, put on my Doc Martens and I was ready to go. Oh and don't forget the sunnies.

Classic sneakers

Mink Pink jumper, Vintage Levi's, Converse sneakers

Today I took on the role of photographer for every picture in the post. Tried to implement more creativity in my shots but it proved to be quite challenging without a tripod, having to place my camera on the next best thing I could find. I ended up taking most of my shots from tables and it got pretty tiresome when I had to run back and forth in time for the auto-timer. I do have a remote clicker but haven't figured out how to use it yet. Last time I tried, it didn't work. I don't know what the problem is but will look into it again otherwise, it's just laying around and it wasn't cheap.

On a side note, though my shoe collection consists mainly of boots now, I still own a pair of Converse. So easy to wear and comfy, a definite wardrobe staple.

Floppy Fedora

Insight jumper, Ksubi jeans, ZU Boots, Dangerfield hat, A.Wang Bag

When you're running late for class and don't have time to coordinate an outfit, just throw on a jumper and your regular comfort jeans and accessorize to give it some oomph.

Floppy hats are recently becoming popular. I bought mine on sale just yesterday for $25. Here I am wearing my favorite pair of jeans, the only thing in my wardrobe which I've worn to death. It is slowly becoming looser per number of times of use. That, or I've lost weight. Either ways, I may have to purchase the same pair a size smaller. Cos I can't live without it!

Monday: Blues

Bec & Bridge Blazer, Skinny Nelson Tank Dress, Mink Pink Leggings, ZU Boots, Thrifted necklace, Sportsgirl Ring, Karen Walker Sunnies, Alexander Wang Bag

On days when I'm not sure what to wear, I go monochromatic. To avoid looking too dull, I try to include subtle colours. In this instance, I went for a chalky blue. I kept my hands simple and opted for a neckpiece instead. Blazers are perfect on a cool sunny day. I especially prefer ones that come with shoulder pads. Adds structure to the body and gives your oufit some extra boldness.
